In need of a makeover (too)

Europe's inadequate Industrial & Logistics stock

The rate of urbanisation across the EU has been growing steadily, at an approximate CAGR of 0.45% since the turn of the century. Whilst this may seem small, in absolute terms urban areas grew by over 31 million people whilst the total population grew by only 20 million, signalling a clear migratory trend towards cities

As logistics operators’ margins are squeezed by the rising energy costs, and consumers’ demand for fast delivery increases, the need for modern operationally efficient space has never been greater. However, across European cities, approximately two-thirds of logistics floor space is more than 10 years old and we suggest considerably less efficient than stock built today.
