The Greater Tokyo Office Fund aims to target assets held by owners under pressure to seek an exit, focusing on office assets in the Tokyo area (but may deploy selectively in attractive secondary markets such as Osaka and Fukuoka). The investment strategy is to focus on small to mid size office properties with a strategic return analysis. The Fund is a Jersey Limited Partnership with an underlying Japanese TMK and GK structure.
Tadaaki Kurozumi and Tom Silecchia co-manage the Greater Tokyo Office Fund. The duo co-founded Merchant Capital prior to its acquisition by Savills Investment Management and have over 40 years combined experience of real estate investment management. After graduating from the University of Tokyo, Tadaaki started his career at Sumitomo Realty & Development Corporation where he focused on commercial property development. Following his MBA from Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 2000, he joined Merrill Lynch Japan Incorporated, where he served as a director of principal investment team until 2005, and was responsible for the pricing and underwriting of distressed debt, real estate, and real estate related M&A, financing, and equity transactions.
